On Location

On Location. As part of his work, Andy is able to visit some of the wonderful landscape of the British countryside, especially near his home in the North Pennines. This section of the website not only enables you to follow his trips but also to be inspired yourself to get out there too!

I am currently updating the On Location pages with data from my archive of walks and photographic locations. Whether you are a walker, photographer or just like to see various locations then there should be something here for you. Some of these walks also appear on my YouTube channel.

I am doing this in no particular order either for date or area, more of a random selection. Here is a list of the most recent posts:

Not only walking and taking photographs of his adventures but also sketching on site. Gathering references for future paintings in the studio. He is perhaps best known for his award winning project and book The Wainwrights in Colour
