The 214 Completed
Last night marked a significant milestone for The Wainwrights in Colour project as the final sketches of all 214 fells were framed, with Lank Rigg being the last. The completion of all 1500 sketches had occurred earlier, but the framing was delayed for final book touches. The artist experienced a quiet satisfaction rather than overt emotion, looking forward to the project’s culmination and customer reactions at the book launch in Kendal.
