The Best of May 2022

A selection of images from the camera of Andy Beck taken during the month of May 2022.

With the show season now upon us my chances of getting out and taking photographs and sketching is rather limited. May was spent building up a stock of products for these shows. I therefore had to spend the time fairly locally. Of course Bailey still needs walking so we kept to our normal routes in the neighbourhood. We are lucky to have a variety of wildlife and countryside on our doorstep and this often throws up opportunities for photographs.

At the end of the month was the famous Tan Hill Sheep Show, a traditional event for Swaledale sheep breeders at the countrys highest pub. I allowed myself an afternoon off away from the studio to add more reference photographs to my archive. Hence the reason there is more than a fair share of images of that day.

The images are in no particular order. Click on any image to see the lightbox display.

As with all of my work the images are available as prints or for use under license commercially or for editorial purposes. Just contact me via email for further information.

If you have enjoyed this selection then why not take a look at the Best of April 2022 here.

In the meantime I am back on the road again soon so if you see us at any of the events then do call by to say hello.

Thanks for looking

  1. Some real ol characters in these images Andy, not just the animals. Very good images, photographs are all about timing & the good eye to capture that moment in time…it compliments your wonderful paintings…excellent!
