With the show season now upon us my chances of getting out and taking photographs and sketching is rather limited. May was spent building up a stock of products for these shows. I therefore had to spend the time fairly locally. Of course Bailey still needs walking so we kept to our normal routes in the neighbourhood. We are lucky to have a variety of wildlife and countryside on our doorstep and this often throws up opportunities for photographs.
At the end of the month was the famous Tan Hill Sheep Show, a traditional event for Swaledale sheep breeders at the countrys highest pub. I allowed myself an afternoon off away from the studio to add more reference photographs to my archive. Hence the reason there is more than a fair share of images of that day.

Some real ol characters in these images Andy, not just the animals. Very good images, photographs are all about timing & the good eye to capture that moment in time…it compliments your wonderful paintings…excellent!
