Best of July 2020

We would normally think of the days of July as hours of blazing sun and bright blue skies. Well it wasn’t quite like that here in Teesdale in 2020. As ever, I was out and about every day obtaining refereces for paintings or just taking photographs. It seems that we would be caught in a rain shower almost on every walk. These conditions did make for some great images though.

As well as the landscape photographs I was extremely fortunate to have some wonderful wildlife encounters. One day in particular where I saw 10 individual Barn Owls in various locations including a brief and unplanned experience in a barn where 5 youngsters were lined up on a beam. A memory I will not forget.

I have also included an image of Comet Neowise which was on view during July. Admittedly, not the best photo but I am unlikely to see it again so it was worth recording the event.

Here is a selection of the images from July 2020. As with all of my work the images are available as prints or for use under license commercially or for editorial purposes. Just contact me via email for information. I am now able to supply prints of these images so if there is a photograph that you would like to have framed up on your wall then just get in touch. I will be updating my catalogues of work shortly on this website.
