Best of October 2020

Best of October 2020. It was a good month for photography. Nature during the month of October usually puts on a good display of colour seemingly to celebrate the changing of the seasons before the drab tones of winter.

Most of the month for me was spent working in Teesdale with a couple of forays into the Lake District and the Yorkshire dales.

As I write this the country is back into lockdown and I am reluctant to travel too far. But as with the pervious restrictions, I enjoy the challenge of exploring and capturing the local area.

In this selection of images you will see the variety of subject matter that came into the focus of my camera. From glorious evening light in Little Langdale to a pair of Buzzards having a territorial dispute over the Lunedale valley.

As with all of my work the images are available as prints or for use under license commercially or for editorial purposes. Just contact me via email for information. I am now able to supply prints of these images so if there is a photograph that you would like to have framed up on your wall then just get in touch. I will be updating my catalogues of work shortly on this website.

Just click on the images to view them in a light box

It’s too late to order a copy of my Teesdale 2021 calendar which has proved to be very popular. It helps to raise funds for a local Teesdale Charity.

Thank you for reading Best of October 2020

Andy Beck-

Having been a professional artist since leaving the Royal Air Force Regiment in 1988 Andy Beck has now become well known for his recent major project- The Wainwrights in Colour which has seen him exploring the Lakeland Fells to capture all the scenes in Wainwright’s Pictorial guides. Up until early 2013 Andy ran The Teesdale Gallery in the heart of Barnard Castle, County Durham which he did for 20 years. Reluctantly he had to close the gallery so that he could concentrate his efforts on completing the project. This has given him the freedom to paint at home in his studio or go out gathering references for his work. Andy lives in Teesdale in the north Pennines of England.
