Best of March 2020

Best of March 2020. Who would have believed only four weeks ago that the world would now be in a such a state? Covid19 has gripped many of the countries of the world and as I write this, here in the UK be are in almost full Lockdown. This is a momentous time in world history. I can’t post this blog without making some reference to the outstanding work that is being done by the key workers of this and other countries whose unsurpassed devotion to duty is getting us through the current crisis. Highest praise perhaps should go to the amazing staff across the whole of the NHS. We applaud you all.

I am fortunate in some way that even in my day to day work I lead a fairly isolated existence. Mostly alone in my studio or out walking. On many days the only other person who I have contact with is my wife, Esther.

But in March things changed. Travelling any distance became more and more restricted, so much so that at the end of the month (and now into April) I am basically only taking short walks from home in the local area. But during March I was able to get out and about throughout the dale. The photographs that are in this gallery reflect the weather and scenery of Teesdale before the shut-down. The images do not appear in date order.

As with all of my work the images are available as prints or for use under license commercially or for editorial purposes. Just contact me via email for information. Unfortunately prints are unavailable at this time due to the Covid19 situation but as soon as printing can be done I will update the collections page.
