A mention of dispatches

A mention of dispatches.  My days are now being taken up by organising the delivery of all the pre-orders for The Wainwrights in Colour Book, who ever said that I would now be able to put my feet up and go on holiday got it slightly wrong. Not that I mind, after all, it is these good folk who have helped to get the book printed and out onto the market. Despite the requests from bookshops I haven’t had time to supply the local independent stores as yet, this will hopefully happen in the early part of next week. So if you are waiting to pick up a copy at your local bookshop then you may have to be a little patient.

In the meantime I have put together a short film covering the despatch process for the book. Once again it hopefully gives you an idea on my “hands on” approach to the whole project. This has been more than a simple business scheme to me, more of a life experience, never to be repeated so the final touch of sending each copy on it’s way to the client seems only right.

If you are one of those many people who have ordered a copy but still not received it then please be patient, orders are being processed as quickly as possible but in date order.

Thank you

Andy Beck-

Having been a professional artist since leaving the Royal Air Force Regiment in 1988 Andy Beck has now become well known for his recent major project- The Wainwrights in Colour which has seen him exploring the Lakeland Fells to capture all the scenes in Wainwright’s Pictorial guides. Up until early 2013 Andy ran The Teesdale Gallery in the heart of Barnard Castle, County Durham which he did for 20 years. Reluctantly he had to close the gallery so that he could concentrate his efforts on completing the project. This has given him the freedom to paint at home in his studio or go out gathering references for his work. Andy lives in Teesdale in the north Pennines of England.

My goodness, I certainly can see the care with which you are hand-packing each precious book! Speaking as a customer with the last name “Waterhouse,” I’m wondering if, um, that list you are working from is in alphabetical order. 🙂

    • Thanks for the comment, yes, certainly is the personal touch. Don’t worry, I am processing them by date order not alphabetically. I can see that yours is due for dispatch over the weekend.

A beautiful book. It arrived on Saturday and what a work of art it is. This brings the Wainwrights into our living room. You must be proud of what you have achieved. We look forward to seeing you in Keswick.
