Shedding Sheep. A unique drone shot of swaledale sheep being sorted in the pens. At shows and events this is possibly Andy’s most popular image and currently the only drone photograph which he gets printed and framed. From a distance it is an abstract black and white pattern but from close up it is a hill farming family at work.

Andy Beck is a full time artist based in Teesdale in the north Pennines of England. Perhaps he is best known for his award winning book, The Wainwrights in Colour. A unique 10 year challenge which gave him an intimate insight to Alfred Wainwright’s work and the Lakeland Fells. As well as painting, Andy is a keen photographer and uses many of his images as reference for his artwork. These images are often produced as cards or prints such as this.
