Topographical features: Wainwright took the spot height of 2403′ on the 6 inch map as the summit but his summit map is confusing as that spot height would be where he marks the “southern cairn” (GR: NY28189 07350). He places the actual (Wainwright) summit (using his usual black triangle) at the northern end of the summit plateau where there was obviously a cairn which is some distance from the spot height of the time. This location is very close to the true summit of 2415′ which is 6m south of the northern (Wainwright) cairn.

Tarns: Stickle Tarn and some small pools between Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark
Waterfalls: Dungeon Ghyll has some respectable falls including Dungeon Ghyll Force.
Adjoining Fells: Loft Crag, Pavey Ark, Pike o’ Stickle, Thunacar Knott
