Wainwright summit*: GR: NY47773 09998 2333′ True height: GR: NY 47776 10001 2334′ 712m

Topographical features: Interestingly AW was not exact in pinpointing the location of the highest point in his description. He didn’t mark it with his usual black summit cone. But going by the spot height on the 6 inch map of 2333′ it is very close (1m or so) of the true highest point. However, the OS concrete ring which is 40m away in a south easterly direction (which is generally accepted as the highest point) at GR: NY 47795 09971 is 25cm lower than the highest point.
