Topographical features: The cairn is the Wainwright summit but 5m to the north east is a rock which is the true summit.

Points of interest: 

Tarns: The “Three Tarns” are located in the col between Bow Fell and Crinkle Crags. However, at times of very dry weather only two may hold water. There are two small pools nearer the summit of the fell, one just at the top of the Great Slab and anther a short distance to the south east on the north side of the main path.
