Topographical features: The Wainwright summit is the northernmost cairn on the ridge of rock east of the summit tarn and at the southern end of the same ridge the true summit is marked with another cairn (illustrated below).
Points of interest: Wainwright’s favourite fell, where his ashes were scattered.
Tarns: Several tarns on the summit and numerous smaller pools. The summit tarn has no official name. Innominate tarn and Blackbeck tarn are the two main areas of standing water on the extensive top of the fell.
Waterfalls: At least two good waterfalls in Warnscale Beck
